  7. some newspapers temporarily dropped the strip. "The fact that he's
  8. a liberal with a good heart does not exempt him from criticism,"
  9. said a gay critic. Others, however, praised Trudeau, who told a
  10. newspaper editor that his aim was to "attack the fear and ignorance
  11. by laughing in its face."
